Recording and reporting
The Reporting view is where you review what the rig recorded and see summaries of what it detected and heard.
To open it, select RPT in the sidebar. The view has four tabs: Recordings, Analytics, Drones, and UAP.
What gets recorded
- Video clips. The rig records video to disk when an object is detected. This happens only for sources where an administrator has turned recording on under Admin → Recording. Each source can keep clips for 7 to 30 days. When the disk fills up, the oldest clips are removed first.
- ATC audio. When an air traffic control transmission matches words linked to unidentified objects, the rig keeps that audio as a clip in the uap group.
If recording is off for a source, nothing from that source appears here. Ask your administrator to turn it on.
Recordings
The Recordings tab has a list of clips on the left and a player on the right.
Find a clip
- The list shows each clip’s object class, source, and size. The count of clips is at the top.
- Filter the list with all, video, or uap. video is camera clips. uap is preserved ATC audio.
- Sort with the drop-down: Newest first, Oldest first, Largest first, Smallest first, Longest first, or Object type (A–Z).
- Select Refresh to load new clips.
You can also jump here from the event log. For a confirmed target, select Review log in the event log’s Action column. The list then shows only that target’s clips, with Track and its ID at the top. Select Clear ✕ to show all clips again.
| Message | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No recordings yet. | No clip has been captured. Recording may be off for every source. |
| No recordings for this target. | Recording was off on that source when the target flew through |
Play a clip
Select a clip to play it. The player shows the source, length, and size above the video. Use the video’s own controls to play, pause, and seek.
Below the video:
- SIGINT activity during clip is a chart of radio activity over the same time.
- Correlated detections is a table of detections whose tracks overlapped the clip. Columns: Class, Make / model, Conf, Callsign, Operator, Route, Alt, and First seen. As on the target card, the AI’s columns are amber and the confirmed flight data is green. If none overlapped, it says No persisted detections overlapped this clip.
Analytics
The Analytics tab summarizes activity over a time range. Pick the range at the top right: 24H, 7D, 30D, or ALL.
Summary cards
| Card | What it counts |
|---|---|
| Detections | Camera detections in the range |
| Recordings | Clips, with their total size and length |
| SIGINT records | Radio records received, and the number of batches |
| SIGINT volume | The amount of radio data received |
RTL-SDR activity
A chart of radio receiver activity over the range.
Top-10 charts
Choose what the charts count with the Count buttons:
- Heard by radio: every aircraft and drone the rig’s receivers heard.
- Camera-confirmed: only objects the camera confirmed.
Your choice is remembered in this browser.
The charts are Detections by class (camera only), Top callsigns, Top airlines, Top originations, Top destinations, Top make / models, and Top drone make / models (shown as Top drone makers (Remote ID) when counting by radio).
Drones
The Drones tab shows drones that broadcast Remote ID.
- Live Remote ID broadcasts shows a card for each drone broadcasting now. Each card has a compass that points from the rig toward the drone, plus Proximity, Altitude, Height, Speed, BLE signal, and Operator (the pilot’s broadcast position, when sent).
- Heard in the last 24 h lists every drone heard in the last day, with UAS ID, Type, Broadcasts, Last RSSI, Last proximity, and Last heard.
If no drones are broadcasting, the tab says so. Drones that do not broadcast Remote ID can still be detected by the cameras.
UAP
The UAP tab is for recording observations of unidentified objects.
File an observation
Under File observation:
-
Check each observable you saw:
- Anti-gravity lift
- Instantaneous acceleration
- Hypersonic velocity without signatures
- Trans-medium travel
- Low observability
Each one has a short description under it.
-
Optionally, pick a clip under Link to recording (optional).
-
Describe what you saw in Notes: what was seen, how long, the weather, and any witnesses.
-
Select File observation.
You must check at least one observable or write a note.
Review observations
Filed observations lists every observation filed on this rig, with Observed (the time), Observer, Observables, and Notes.
ATC chatter detections
ATC chatter detections lists air traffic control transmissions the rig flagged automatically because they used words linked to unidentified objects. Each row shows when it was heard, the frequency, and how strong the match was:
- STRONG: a single, very specific term was enough.
- SUPPORTING: two supporting terms appeared together.
The matched words are shown as tags, so you can see why each one was flagged. You decide whether it matters. When the audio was kept, a player lets you listen to it. The same audio is in Recordings under uap.
To get notified when something is detected, see Alerts.
